ALIC participated for one year in a series of meetings of the Gulf Island Pond Stakeholder's Group. The purpose of this group was to work out the conditions of the needed reductions in licensed discharge of Phosphorus to the Androscoggin River. The "McCubbin Report" gives an excellent summary of the technology and costs of upgrades at the mills which would reduce discharge.
